Flora and Fauna | Farm and Domestic Animals
Boomvarks are long-nosed, long-tongued, long-bodied animals around the size of a badger. With their hooked claws they are excellent climbers, even able to hang upside down on coarse-barked trees, but their movement is strong and careful rather than quick, and their jumps tend to be relatively short and only taken when really needed. Their long snouts and tongues give them unrivalled insect hunting capability as they can reach further into nests for juicy bugs than almost anything else.
They have soft fur showing markings of a variety of types, and a sociable nature so as well as being common wildlife sightings while travelling they are also popular domestic pets which do the double duty of keeping houses free of insect infestation.
